Our Torque Calibration Services

Torque instruments play a critical role in aerospace, automotive, pipelines, precision manufacturing, and other industries where fastener and component reliability is vital.

When instruments drift out of specification, the consequences can be severe—fastener failures, compromised structural integrity, product recalls, safety hazards, and expensive liability claims. The Accredited Labs network offers comprehensive torque calibration services to keep your instruments performing within their required accuracy ranges.

Our Process

Torque calibration involves verifying and adjusting instruments that measure rotational force across defined measurement ranges. Each device is compared to certified reference torque standards with known, traceable values to identify deviations from intended performance.

Experienced technicians apply precisely controlled torque loads across the instrument’s full range, document all variations, and may make adjustments needed to restore accuracy. If an instrument cannot be restored to the required accuracy range, you receive detailed reporting with the data necessary for corrective action, maintenance planning, or replacement decisions.

All torque calibrations follow internationally recognized standards and industry specifications to promote consistency, reliability, and complete measurement traceability. Each instrument is returned with documentation linking its accuracy to national torque standards—supporting quality management systems, safety requirements, and assembly specifications.

Types of Torque Measuring Instruments We Calibrate

Our comprehensive torque calibration services cover the complete spectrum of torque measuring technologies used across industries:

  • Torque Wrenches: Manual and pneumatic torque wrenches including click-type, beam-type, and dial-indicating wrenches used for precise fastener installation. Calibration ensures accurate torque application across the wrench's range and verifies proper operation of torque indication or limiting mechanisms.
  • Digital Torque Meters: Electronic instruments that provide precise digital torque readings with data logging and analysis capabilities. These instruments require calibration of torque sensors, signal processing electronics, and display systems to ensure accurate measurements across their full range.
  • Torque Transducers and Sensors: Industrial torque measurement devices used in automated assembly equipment, testing machines, and process monitoring applications. Calibration verifies sensor accuracy, signal output characteristics, and long-term stability under various operating conditions.
  • Torque Multipliers: Mechanical devices that amplify input torque for high-torque applications such as large fasteners and heavy equipment assembly. Calibration ensures accurate torque multiplication ratios and verifies that output torque corresponds correctly to input torque and multiplication factors.
  • Torque Screwdrivers: Precision tools used for small fasteners in electronics, medical devices, and precision assembly applications. These tools require calibration to ensure accurate torque application for delicate components and precision assembly requirements.
  • Pneumatic and Electric Torque Tools: Powered torque application tools used in production assembly operations. Calibration verifies torque output accuracy, repeatability, and consistency across various operating conditions and tool settings.
  • Torque Analyzers and Testers: Instruments used to measure and verify the torque output of other torque tools and equipment. These calibration standards require regular calibration themselves to maintain their accuracy as reference instruments.
  • Impact Wrenches with Torque Control: High-speed assembly tools with torque limiting or measurement capabilities used in automotive, construction, and industrial assembly operations. Calibration ensures accurate torque control and consistent assembly quality.
  • Rotary Torque Sensors: Continuous measurement devices used in rotating machinery, motor testing, and power transmission applications. Calibration verifies measurement accuracy under dynamic conditions and various rotational speeds.
  • Manual Torque Measurement Devices: Including torque gauges, torque meters, and portable torque measurement instruments used for field verification and quality control applications.
