Our Electrical Calibration Services

Reliable electrical measurements are critical across industries such as power generation, distribution, electronics manufacturing, aerospace, and advanced testing environments.

When instruments drift out of specification, the impact can be significant—quality issues, safety concerns, regulatory challenges, and costly production delays. The Accredited Labs network offers comprehensive electrical calibration services to keep your instruments performing within the accuracy ranges required for your processes.

Our Process

Electrical calibration involves verifying and adjusting instruments that measure voltage, current, resistance, frequency, power, and other electrical parameters. Each device is compared to certified reference standards with known, traceable values to identify any deviations from its intended performance.

Skilled technicians assess each instrument across its full measurement range, document all variations, and may make the necessary adjustments to restore accuracy. If an instrument cannot be restored to its required accuracy range, you receive detailed reporting with the data needed for corrective action or informed replacement decisions.

All electrical calibrations follow internationally recognized protocols that support consistency, reliability, and complete measurement traceability. Each instrument is returned with documentation linking its accuracy to national electrical measurement standards—supporting your quality management system requirements and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Types of Electrical Measuring Instruments We Calibrate

Our comprehensive electrical calibration services cover the complete spectrum of electrical measuring instruments used across industries:

  • Digital Multimeters and Analog Meters: These fundamental instruments measure voltage, current, and resistance in countless applications. From basic handheld units to precision laboratory instruments, regular calibration ensures they maintain specified accuracy across all measurement functions and ranges.
  • Power and Energy Measurement Equipment: Power meters, energy analyzers, power quality analyzers, and wattmeters require specialized calibration to accurately measure electrical power consumption, power factor, harmonics, and energy efficiency parameters critical for modern operations.
  • Oscilloscopes and Signal Analysis Equipment: These sophisticated instruments capture and analyze electrical waveforms, requiring precise calibration of timebase, vertical amplifiers, and trigger circuits. Proper calibration ensures accurate representation of electrical signals and reliable troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Function Generators and Signal Sources: These instruments create precise electrical signals for testing and calibration applications. Their calibration ensures accurate frequency, amplitude, and waveform characteristics essential for reliable test results and system validation.
  • Frequency and Time Measurement Instruments: Frequency counters, time interval analyzers, and phase meters require calibration to maintain accuracy in timing-critical applications. These instruments support telecommunications, aerospace, and precision manufacturing where timing accuracy is paramount.
  • Resistance and Impedance Measurement Equipment: Megohmmeters, microhm meters, LCR meters, and impedance analyzers measure electrical resistance, impedance, and component values. Calibration ensures these instruments provide accurate measurements for electrical safety testing and component verification.
  • Clamp Meters and Current Measurement Devices: These instruments measure electrical current without breaking circuits, making them essential for electrical maintenance and troubleshooting. Regular calibration ensures accurate current measurements for load analysis and electrical system diagnostics.
  • Temperature and Process Measurement Instruments: Electrical instruments that measure temperature, pressure, and other process variables through electrical signals require calibration of both their electrical measurement circuits and their sensor inputs.
  • Specialized Test Equipment: Insulation testers, ground resistance meters, electrical safety analyzers, and calibrators themselves require expert calibration services to maintain their accuracy and reliability in critical testing applications.
